Popsugar is a lifestyle brand that offers content for women ages 18–34 on topics like fitness, beauty, fashion, food, and parenting.
During this project I provided guidance to a client starting out in apparel. I provided services in visual merchandising, packaging design, structural design and copy.
“the challenge”
The planogram given to me by the client was created internally. Immediately, I informed them that they were not effectively utilizing the space both practically and aesthetically. I proceeded to offer my recommendations on how they could maximize their sales potential within the allocated area at the retailer.
“the fix”
Initially, by utilizing the available space efficiently, I calculated the packaging dimensions and determined the quantity that could be accommodated horizontally and vertically.
Subsequently, I advised the client on alternative packaging methods for the garment, suggesting a more sustainable design that eliminated the need for a plastic hanger.
With the packaging details sorted out, I proceeded to work on the planogram and effectively showcased the merchandise for the client.
